Sponsored E-Mail During the expedition, Netcom sponsored us with a complimentary e-mail account for A Year Without Time. If you want to use your computer and modem to hop on the internet for electronic mail, the web, and other services, go check out Netcom's offering. A basic account with unlimited access time is just $19.95 per month. They have over 300 phone numbers across the US, plus an 800 number for times when you might be in remote locations (that will come in handy for us!). The usage charge when using the 800 number is only 6 cents per minute.
